Admission Process
The admission is given on the basis of merit.
Qualification for Admission: For each year every student shall fill in a fresh admission form and pay the necessary fees on before the date fixed. A candidate being eligible for admission to the First Semester of Three years LL.B. must have passed/completed Degree Examination of a recognised University with minimum 45% of marks if there is no eligibility test and 40% of marks at the qualifying examination if there is an Eligibility test. However, the above percentage of Marks shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
A student from another University seeking admission to any of the classes at the College will be final on production of a certificate of eligibility from theUniversityofMumbai. On the production of provisional eligibility certificate a provisional admission may be granted to such students.
Admission to the student from outsideUniversity of Mumbaiis subject to the rules of eligibility and confirmation of the verification of documents from parent university.
No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for law degree program with any other Graduate, Post graduate or Certificate course run by the same or other University or an Institute for academic or professional learning excepting in the integrated degree program of the same institution. However any short period part time certificate courses on language, computer application of an institute or any course run by a centre for distance learning of a University, or any add-on part-time course/s in their in or related to law provided the timings for the law course for this university are accepted.
Documents required for First Semester Admission:
Students seeking admission in the First year LL.B. has to submit the following documents: Mark sheet of qualifying examination (Original + Xerox) T. C / Leaving Certificate (may be produced after admission) If belongs to Reserved category caste certificate from proper Authority (Original+Photocopy) Migration Certificate for students other than University of Mumbai (may be produced after admission) Verification letter from their respective Universities.
Conditions for Admissions to Third & Fifth Semester of Three Years LL.B Courses: Candidates for being eligible for admission to the Third semester of 3 years LL.B. courses must have either passed in the examinations of the First and Second Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the First and Second Semesters. Similarly, a candidate for being eligible for admission to Fifth Semester of 3 years LL.B. course must have passed in all the papers of First and Second Semester and must have either passed in the Third and Fourth Semester or must have got exemption in at least Six Papers (excluding Practical Training Paper) of the Third and Fourth Semesters.
