The process of admission to 1st year class starts every year after the publication of the result of higher secondary examination in West Bengal. Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed forms which may be obtained with Prospectus from the college office on payment of necessary fees and on fulfillment of eligibility criteria, to be notified by the principal.
A candidate may apply for more than one Honors subject in separate application form for each, but need not purchase more than prospectus. Original mark sheet and Admit Card of the immediately preceding qualifying examination are to be produced to get application form and prospectus.
Marks obtained in top four subjects in the immediately preceding qualifying examination shall be considered to ascertain in the aggregate marks of a candidate passing the examination under grade system.
Also for candidates passing the H.S 12th Examination from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education under Old System, marks obtained in top five subjects shall be considered to determine their aggregate marks.
