College was established in June 1968 named as Arts, Commerce & Science College. The college was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Late Yashwantrao Chavan, the architect and Chief Minister of Maharashtra State. After the death of Hon. Vinayakrao Patil (Anna) college is renamed behind him as Vinayakrao Patil Mahavidyalaya due to his valuable contribution in the field of education. The motto of college is “Chala Kalptaruche Aarav Chetana Chintamaniche Gaon”
College is located on the Aurangabad – Bombay state highway, 2 kms away from Vaijapur Town. It is one of the leading institutions of rural Marathwada with a long standing of 40 years. The “Educational Complex” of this college is located in a systematically developed and extensively Planed Campus of about 19.05 acres. The college imparts education in Arts, Commerce, Science, MCVC, Management Science & Interdisciplinary streams from 10+2 to Under Graduate & Post Graduate level. Initially college started with 215 students and about 20 Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff members. Presently the strength of college students is 4000 with 103 teaching and non-teaching staff members. The college teaching staff members are well qualified, efficient, experienced and Socially Committed and accountable.
The college has constructed separate Administrative and Academic Buildings with well equipped departments in natural surrounding. The college provides deliberate attention to the research activities. The library of college is situated in separate building having all sorts of books. The Boys & Girls Hostels located in college campus. For indoor & outdoor games facilities large play ground is available in college. Alumni Association has been started from 2002. NCC and NSS units are very efficient. Our college has been awarded with three state awards for outstanding work of NSS unit. College has well equipped computer laboratory for all students.
The statue of Hon. Late Vinayakrao Patil, the founder of the college, located in college campus, is a symbol of continuous inspiration and encouragement, to us and the college is trying to fulfill his dreams about the socio-economic development of rural people through education.
Under the efficient and Valuable guidance of Honorable Shri.Bhausaheb Patil Thombre (Kaka) Executive Member, ‘Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’ and the management of all honorable members Local Governing Council this college is making progress in all fields.
