ME in Instrumentation Engineering
Full Time CourseThe first batch of instrumentation engineers graduated in 2002 and the results indicated that their performance was one of the best in the University of Mumbai. The curriculum includes courses like Transducers, Analog and Digital Electronics, Microcontroller, Power Electronics, Process Control and Automation, Analytical and Biomedical Instrumentation. All the laboratories as per requirement like Transducers Lab, Control lab, Process Lab, Computational lab, Project Lab, Industrial Automation lab, Analytical and Biomedical Lab, are being set up and upgraded. The Industry standard Process lab is being set in collaboration with Forbes Marshall, Pune. The set up is a replica of a mini industry having PID controller to control multi-loop parameters. Computational lab is having latest version of software tools like MATLAB and Lab VIEW and NI-ELVIS hardware. The department strives on strengthening its interaction with the industry by arranging regular visits and training with the support of various companies like Tata Power, Siemens, L& T Automation, BARC, ISPAT, RCF, Forbes Marshall, Honeywell and Festo Controls.

Eligibility
Post Graduation Admissions (M. E.) Any Person who has passed the examination for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University or any other University (Migration Certificate & Eligibility Certificate from Mumbai University at the time of admission), recognized as equivalent to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering of this University, can be eligible for admission to the Master’s degree course in Engineering / Technology, in the specific branch in he/she which has obtained the degree of Bachelor of Engineering or related branch. The eligibility criteria for various post-graduate course are listed below. - Bonafide and character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended
- Leaving and / or Transfer Certificate from the Institute last attended.
- Nationality Certificate
- Domicile Certificate, If available
- Residence Proof
- Backward Class / Caste Certificate duly verified by the Competent Authority
- Passport in case of Foreign Nationals / Wards of Persons of Indian Origin / Wards of Non Resident Indians
