Admission Process
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course of study for the Medical Degree (MBBS/BUMS/BAMS/BDS)provided
(i) He/She has completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December in the year of commencing the prescribed Academic Session of the said course.
(ii) He/She has passed qualifying examination as under:-
(a) (i) The candidates should have passed the Senior Secondary Board examination under 10+2 system conducted by the C.B.S.E./Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (Except Patrachar Vidyalaya and Open Schools) with required subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core).
(ii) The candidate should have studied both 11th and 12th standard from a recognized school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only, conducting regular classes of 11th and 12th standard with required subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
(iii) The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, however, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% as above.
(b) Any other examination which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to 10+2 system Examination of an Indian University/Board/Foreign University conducting regular classes with required subjects recognised by the University of Delhi are eligible for admission for the categories of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (Female), Government Nominee, 15% quota (DGHS) and Children, Widows of Armed Personnel Killed/ Disabled.
(c) The candidates for admission to (MBBS/BUMS/BAMS/BDS) Course shall be selected on the basis of competitive Entrance Examination and admission will be made strictly on merit basis.
(d) The admission to MBBS Course shall close on 30th September of the year.
