Assam Joint Admission Test

Candidates for admission into the Undergraduate Courses in the Engineering Colleges, Medical Colleges, Regional Dental College and Ayurvedic College of the State of Assam and NIT ( Assam State Quota ) shall be selected strictly on the basis of merit of Joint Admission Test conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Assam in places and time notified by the Director of Technical Education in Assam Gazette and News papers every year The Assam JAT Test is normally held in the month of May every year
Joint Admission Test is conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Assam for selection of candidates for admission to the first year of the BE course to the two State Government Colleges and REC (for Assam quota only)
Candidates seeking admission in any Regional Engineering College (against Assam quota) have to apply separately to Principal, Regional Engineering College, Silchar, in addition to appearing in Joint Admission Test

10+2 Examination (12 years) from Assam Hr. Sec. Education Council or an equivalent examination with PCM, and English securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in PCM in one sitting are eligible.
