The Karnataka Private Medical Colleges Association ( KPMCA ), Karnataka Dental Colleges Association ( KPDCA ) & Karnataka Un - aided Private Engineering Colleges Association have in their endeavor to offer a "Single Window" approach to students seeking admissions, have evolved a self - imposed discipline in implementing the verdict of the apex court and have embarked on an endeavor to develop an effective, credible and alternative seat selection process for admissions & have decided to form a "Consortium of Private Medical, Dental & Engineering Colleges" named as 'COMEDK'

Eligibility
COMEDK MBBS :
General Merit candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject and must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB.
In addition, in the COMEDK UGET 2012 Common Entrance Test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test ( COMEDK UGET 2012 ).
SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject.
As per the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) and Dental Council of India ( DCI ) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. Further must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test ( COMEDK UGET 2012 ). He / she shall complete the age of 17 Years on or before 31st December of the year of COMEDK 2012 admission to the MBBS / BDS Course.
COMEDK UGET BDS :
General Merit candidates should have passed qualifying exam which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent exam recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology ( PCB ) with English as a compulsory subject must have passed the subject and individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB.
Candidates should have attained the age of 17 Years as on 31/12/2012. There is no Common Entrance Test for COMEDK Exams 2012 admission during the year 2012 – 2013.
SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. All other requirements are same as applicable for General Merit candidates.
COMEDK Exam B.E :
General Merit candidates, the minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying Examination recognized by State / Central Government with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ( PCM ).
Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. English as one of the language of study is compulsory. There is no minimum marks fixed for COMEDK 2012 entrance test. Hence all candidates who have taken the entrance test will find a place in the merit list as per their performance.
SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka the aggregate marks in PCM should be not less than 40% in the qualifying examination as mentioned above.
COMEDK 2012 B. Arch :
A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination ( 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination ) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate ( 45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka ). Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture ( NATA ) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and category candidates.
COMEDK Exams 2012 will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking COMEDK Admission 2012 to B.Arch ( Architecture Course ) as per existing rules.

Generally, the questions in COMEDK Entrance exam are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 10+2 level of examination. Subject -wise Syllabus or subject topics that are generally asked are given in the following lines.
Physics Syllabus:
Heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics, oscillations, thermal and chemical effects of currents, electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, physical world & measurement, introduction, description of motion in one dimension, description of motion in two and three dimensions, etc.
Chemistry Syllabus:
Chemistry of representative elements, nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, chemistry in action, chemistry of biological processes, biomolecules, polymers, chemistry of carbon compounds, coordination chemistry and organo metallics, transition metals including lanthanides etc.
Mathematics Syllabus:
Vectors and three dimensional geometry, matrices and determinants, circles, coordinate geometry, exponential and logarithmic series, Probability, correlation and regression, differential equations, definite integral, integral calculus, differential calculus etc.
Biology Syllabus:
Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals, Biology and Human Welfare, Ecology and Environment, Reproduction in Organism, Genetics & Evolution, etc.
