GITAM Admission Test (GAT) UGTP is conducted by GITAM University It is an online test meant for admissions to technological courses at under-graduate program Located in Vishakhapatnam, GITAM University is the first private university of Andhra Pradesh It has been declared as deemed to be university under UGC act The university came into existence in 1980 Currently, there are several institutes affiliated to it, which are catering to the educational needs of the aspirants in the field of Technology, Pharmacy, Science and Management

Eligibility
The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized State/Central Board, with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in aggregate. In case of B.Tech in Biotechnology and B.Pharma, the applicant can have Biology as main subject in lieu of Mathematics. Only the applicants, who have passed higher secondary examination in the year of admission or a year before, are eligible for appearing in the exam.

GITAM GAT (UGTP) entrance exam consists of questions related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology of intermediate level.
Paper Pattern
GITAM GAT 2017 will be Computer Based Tests (CBT) that will comprise questions from three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates will be given 120 minutes to complete the test. Four marks will be awarded for every correct response and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer, while unanswered question will get zero marks. There will be a total of 100 question, in which, 40 questions will be in Mathematics/Biology section, and Physics and Chemistry sections will consist of 30 questions each.`
