Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute Cuddapah
The Don Bosco ITC, Kadapa, a vocational training School, was started originally undere the Name of St. Antony’s Industrial Institute, in 1956 by the Mill Hill Missionary Fathers. The institute aimed at improving the social and economic status of the people, especiallyof the Rayalaseema area, by imparting Technical training and forming skilled workers. Originally the institute conducted five year courses in general mechanics, black smithy and carpentry, for which the permanent recognition was given in 1968, by the Director of technical Education of Andhra Pradesh.
The Salesians of St. John Bosco took over the Institute in 1972 at the insistence of Late Bishop Thumma Showry. The year 1980 saw a new era dawn in the history of the institute with the starting of the ITI .
