Industrial Training Institute, Bhilad under the Directorate of Employment Training, Gandhingar was initially set-up in the year of 1987 as a MINI-ITI. The Institute has covered 7.5 acres including Administrative Block & Workshop. The Institute is engaged in imparting training in scheme of NCVT, GCVT as well as short term courses with the capacity of 220 trainees. The objective of the CTS scheme is to provide semi-skilled/skilled workers to industry by systematic training to school leavers & to reduce unemployment among educated youth by equipping them with suitable skills for industrial employment.

The Industrial Training Institute, Bhilad is covered under TASP ( Tribal Area Sub Plan ) so 100 % section seats are given stipend of Rs. 200/- per month to Scheduled Tribe candidate. The institute is functioning in two shifts commencing from 7.30 A.M. to 6.15 P.M. With a view to provide technically qualified man-power required for various industries and to be helpful to provide employment, the Institute is carrying over different Informal sector Short term courses. More over Institute is giving Spoken English training to all trade trainees for improve their communication skill in English.
