At first (1962) The institute was established at the premises of Dept. of Industries and Commerce at Industrial Estate, Dindigul. Then the building was inaugurated by Thiru. R. VenkatRaman, formal Minister of Labour of

Industries in 1966. The Principle aim of this Institute is providing Basic Technical Training to those who are not able to continue the higher education.

Our Institute stands Majestically on Natham road, Dindigul which easily accessible from Railway station ( 2 km) and Bus stand (3 km).
