The institute was started in the year 1957 with the intake capacity of 96 seats in seven trades. At present the institute have intake capacity of above 4500 seats / year in 40 different trades of six months to two years duration, 8 course of two months to four months duration and 16 courses of 2 weeks to 1 monyth duration for informal sector, imparting vocational training in Ahemedabad and vicinity.
