Government Industrial Training Institute,Aurangabad, is the premier institute of Marathwada region that contributes to develop the youths as a skilled/multi skilled man power required for society and industries. This Institute is affiliated to the Director General of education and training, New Delhi and run by State government of Maharashtra under Vocational education and training department( www.dvetmaharashtra.gov.in)

        The Institute was established in the year 1959 as per Maharashtra Government Resolution No. TSA – 1758-T Dt. 13/05/1959 with the intake capacity of 128 seats in 8 trades and started at Bhadkal Gate,HPO Road, Aurangabad. Later on no. of different trades were introduced which increased the no. of trainees year by year. It was shifted in the year 1982-83 at Railway Station road, Aurangabad. Where 22 acres government land with administrative building,3 workshops, AVTS building is available. At present the Institute has intake capacity of 1008 seats / year in 32 different trades of 6 months to 3 year duration. Short term courses of 2 weeks to 3 months duration for informal sector, imparting vocational training in Aurangabad and vicinity. Since 1959 this Institute maintains a status of regional ITI which is model for Marathwada Region and its journey is going on towards one of the best institute in Maharashtra. Institute is also selected as “Centre of Excellence” in the year 2005.
