The institute was started in 1977 with intake capacity of 96 seats in six trades. At present the institute have total intake capacity of 512 seats in 13 different trades of one year to two years duration. The institute is on the Aurangabad Jalna road just near the MIDC area of Jalna. Institute started Centre of Excellence in production & manufacturing of sector from August 2006. Institute has 30 acres own land with plenty of trees and garden in compound. Institute having its own administrative building and workshop. The second workshop is proposed due to increase in the intake capacity of institute about 750 seats in next two to three years. Institute having library, audio visual facility to trainees.
