Govt. of Maharashtra established ITI in Maharashtra for providing Vocational Education for the Boys & Girl students to get them, employment & self employment opportunities. ITI Khed Rajgurunagar Dist Pune is one of the ITI established in year 1996. Since then Vocational Education has been provided to 100 boys and girls to become self reliant.

Khed is birth place of Hutatma Shivaram Rajguru. Khed Taluka is known for agriculture as well as Industrial cluster which is situated at Chakan MIDC, Alandi MIDC. The Institute has very nice and which landscape area with plenty of trees and many gardens in the Compound providing a healthy atmosphere for training Institute. The Institute has total 10 trades (Fourteen Units).

As per MOU between Bharat Forge Ltd. And Govt. of Maharashtra, ITI Khed is engaged in imparting Vocational Training under CTS program to project affected peoples candidates under SEZ in 15 villages of Khed Taluka.

The Institute is situated at Chandoli on Pune Nashik High Way towards south of Khed town.
