Government Industrial Training Institute, Konam, Nagercoil - 4, popularly known as Government ITI - Nagercoil, Government ITI Nagercoil is one of the oldest and largest Institute in the State. It is the leading and pioneer Institute in the country, well-known and well recognized for its Vocational Training standards & linkage with the industries in and around Kanyakumari district. It is also reputed as resource Institute for training of trainee's, workers, technicians, etc. It functions under Directorate of Vocational Education & Training Department of Higher & Technical Education, Tamilnadu State.

The Institute is established in 1960. The campus is spread over 1,05,218 Sq.m of land. Almost all ITI trainees from this Institute get Trade Apprenticeship. After completing the Apprenticeship training they get employed or self employed. Nurtured in an Atmosphere of Excellence and Diversity, the Trainee emerges academically and culturally prune and ready for the world of work.
