The institute was established in 1993 with intake capacity of 152 trainees now it has the capacity of 128 seats of trainees. In the pace of development of India the institute will be playing a major role in supplying skilled man power to state and the country. The institute impartes training in different vocational job oriented courses and Sanand being near to Ahmedabad is one of the technical institute which will be of prime importance for the next 10 years.

The institute is imparting training in four trades under the NCVT pattern as well as short term training courses. The institute is functioning in three shifts commencing from 7.20 A.M. to 9.00 P.M.
