Taluka Velhe is historical placewhich is surround by Sahhyadri Hills. The taluka is known as Velhe Mahal. Whole taluka’s population is 55847 & backward Polpulation is 2389 about 4 % of total popuation. In rainy season, rainfall is (about 2400 to 3500 mm.) heavy. Envirnoment is very pleasant in Raniny season. ITI, Velha is 65 k.m. away from Pune city. It is located on Pune-Banglore highway no. 4 & towards 30 k.m.west from Cheladi Phata . Approach road for ITI is zigzag with 89 turns & hill side narrow roads having ups & down.

ITI, Velha is the rural area, located near historical Torna Fort. Torna Fort is 1403 meter from MSL and Rajgad fort is 13 km. away from ITI . Rural Hospital, Panchayat Samiti, Bank of Maharashtra, Police Station & Treasury office all are very close to our institute. Our institute is now in rental building. But in future it will be shifted to the new proposed government building which is situated on the bank Kanandi river. Area of plot is 1.391 hctr. & proposed builtup area of ITI building & workshop is 1400 sq.m. as per Govt. type plan TEDU 5216/1. Principal’s Quarter, Class III Quarter & Hostel for students is also proposed .
