The institute established in 1988 to provide job oriented training programmes of 1 or 2 years duration for S.S.C. students. The courses are autonomous, with flexible, need based curriculum. The students get SOMAIYA VIDYAVIHAR Certificates, which are highly coveted. The training provided by our Institute is rated so good, that the passed out students are immediately picked up & get placement in small & medium scale industries.

Initially, Domestic & Industrial Electronic Mechanic (DIEM recently known as DIE) and Project Civil Draughtsman (PCD) were the two courses started by the institute.

The institute started NCVT affiliated courses Electrician & Plumber from the year 1992 & 1993 respectively. In 1994 Welder course was added.

Autonomous course Diploma in Electronics & Computer (DEC) came into existence in 1997.

Later in Sept. 2002 MS-CIT Course affiliated to MKCL (Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited) was started. Institute has got permission to conduct MS-ACIT ( IT for Teachers) in Feb-2010 .

Diploma in computer Hardware Maintenance & Network Technologies – (Windows 2003 server) DCHMNT affiliated to Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) is started in July 2010.
