ST. MARY’S INDUSTRIAL TRAINING CENTRE was started in the year 1996. It is managed by the Catholic Diocese of Palakkad. The foundation stone was laid by Mar. Joseph Irumpen the first Bishop of Palakkad. The patron of this training centre is Bishop Mar. Jacob Manathodath.

The first trade Electronic Mechanic was started in 1996 with the permanent affiliation of National Council of Vocational Training (N.C.V.T). In 1999 a new trade Electrician was started and in 2000 Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) Trade also begun. Besides the formal courses mentioned above, some functional (non formal) courses of short duration in Computer Hardware, Mobile Phone Engineering, X- ray TIG & ARC Welding , TIG Welding, MIG Welding , Structure and Pipe Fabrication, Industrial Electrician and Cable Jointer are also being conducted.
