I am a 10+2 student and want to persue engineering as a career. I wanted to know that what is the meaning of ENGGINEERING PHYSICS and what is its

scope. Secondly I wanted to know that if one would like to enquire about a particular engineering college that it's courses are approved by AICTE or not. I would be highly grateful for the same.

It refers to the study of the combined disciplines of physics, mathematics, biology, social science, and engineering, particularly computer, nuclear, electrical, electronic, aerospace, materials or mechanical engineering. Engineering physics have a good scope. If you want admissions in colleges please check campushunt for your reference.

Engineering Physics is concerned with the applications of fundamental principles and theories of physical sciences to the solutions of complex engineering problems. Engineering Physics is applied in some of the newest engineering fields, those that are based on the application of fundamental physical sciences like laser, optical communication and electromagnetism. Engineering Physics is an interdisciplinary field which requires in depth studies of the fundamental physical and engineering sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical, and Electrical Engineering. This integrated union of disciplines is required most urgently in the development and emerging applications of high technology

Various areas of specialization in Engineering Physics are:

Laser and Optical Communication

Microelectronic Devices

Electromagnetism

Nuclear Engineering

Quantum Mechanics

Engineering Physics graduates have a large range of career options due to flexibility developed through in depth knowledge on a wide range of fundamental physical and engineering sciences. They may get a job in any engineering concern as well as in research and development organizations.
