Hi Moksh, The science graduate candidates have many opportunities in the various fields. if you are interested in mathematics, choose the engineering field or if you like Bio, go for the medical field. you can make a career in research or development fields or can go for the teaching in your subject as a professor. The biotechnology is the very aspiring topic which will require new candidates to explore it more. After your post graduation you may apply for the research, to pursue the Ph.D. and for the assistant professor in the universities through the UGC NET or CSIR NET examination. The candidates after qualifying the UGC NET can also apply for the PSU jobs, become an author and apply for the entrepreneurship. According to our opinion, careers in the following fields will be very prospective in the coming years.

Biotechnology

If anyone ask today what is the next big thing in the job market after IT, the sure shot answer is Biotechnology. Biotechnology manipulates and alters genetic materials of living cells to produce various useful products like medicines for genetic diseases like asthma, smart drugs targeted to a specific part of human body, processed foods, biodegradable plastics, genetically engineered microbes to clean pollutants, crops with more yield, etc. The scopes are endless. The total market of biotechnological products is going to touch an astronomical figure of US$ 50 Billion in the next five years.

Healthcare

Indias healthcare industry is worth Rs. 73,000 crore today. Write off the pharmaceutical industry from this figure as many consider pharmaceutical is a separate industry, you are still left with a staggering Rs. 61,000 crore industry. Not only this, the industry is about to boom to a dizzy height with the entry of corporate hospital, healthcare centres, health management organizations, and health insurance companies. With Apollo hospital leading the pack of corporate hospitals, large scale investment to the tune of 2000 crore is lined up in the next four years. The industry is slated to grow by 35% in the next two years and this will throw open many job opportunities.

Pharmaceuticals

With more emphasis on research and development in the ensuing industry scenario where those companies having patented products reap maximum benefits, the pharmaceutical sector will offer exciting number of opportunities. The growth in this sector will also be driven by various Multinational drug companies introducing top-of-the-line research products in India after 2005. Under the product patent scenario after 2005, more and more Multinational companies will look towards India and enter into marketing tie-ups with Indian companies.
