Then of course there are the riding lessons, fighting lessons, diction classess and most importantly - dance classes to take care of.
No formal education is required here. But you should at least know how to read and write (to memorise your lines). What you basically need here is talent and a love for acting.
You should be able to perform totally uninhabited in front of an audience. Clear speech and diction is another essential requirement.
Although, no one can actually teach you how to act, acting schools can hone your skills. You can join an acting course that teaches you everything from acting to riding and fighting. Alternatively, you can join different classes like for instance Shamak Davar for dancing and Ashok Kumar Academy for acting.
I am giving information on a few Institutes which offer good acting course.

Theatrical Arts exposes students to a variety of onstage and offstage theatre activities, many of which demand individual and collaborative intellect as well as a strong interest in theatre. The Bachelor of Performing Arts in Theatre Arts program is seen as a way to increase the number of trained men and women in theatre practices, as well as to provide a venue for the development of theatre artists who intend to apply their knowledge of the theatre craft for work in professional theatre, film, radio, or television.
