If you do it after class XIIth, you will study for 5 years and after graduation, the duration is 3 years. But most of the institutes in India except those in Maharashtra now offer only the 5 years course in law after class XIIth.

There is a specific Aim of the - Targeting students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. The eligibility is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Graduation (any stream) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or LSAT. LPU aims for the creation of well-trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. The law programs are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The School of Law has an MOU with the NLSIU Bangalore (India's Top Law School) for student-faculty exchange, research, seminar, conference, curriculum development, etc. School of Law has MOU with the Lawyered, Legal services online platform. LPUs law school is associated with the Punjab State Legal Service Authority, Jalandhar and Kapurthala District Legal Service Authority, Punjab Police, etc. The curriculum is benchmarked against premier law schools. The curriculum is one of the best among the premier law schools. An equal importance is given to practical training along with theory papers to boost the confidence of students as and when they enter into Bar. An Honors degree in respective law in a specific arena of the choice of the student is given. Practical training with Lawyers as part of the curriculum. There are regular interactions with eminent Jurists and well-known Academicians in the field of law. created: 14th Jul 2022 Last Modified: 14th Jul 2022Yes, you can do an LLB after the BA degree programme. In fact, every graduate student can pursue LLB with good marks in the graduation degree.
Every institute has different eligibility criteria. For example, my friend did LLB from LPU, and to get admission at LPU in LLB, you should have passed with 50% aggregate marks in Graduation (any stream) or equivalent. Moreover, you should have qualified LPUNEST exam or LSAT.
LPU is ranked 24th among all public and private universities/colleges for the law programmes by NIRF ranking 2021.
LPU’s School of Law is approved by the Bar Council of India.
